Ben & Beth - November Winter Wedding
Wedding Photographer Ettington Park Hotel
Ettington Park Hotel is a wedding venue that will make you fall in love at first sight. As you drive along the beautiful entrance, you are greeted by a picturesque view that many dream of for their wedding day. Located just outside Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, this stunning venue attracts couples from all over the world with its exquisite grounds and rich history.
Neo-Gothic Mansion
Ettington Park is a stunning Neo-Gothic mansion, with the River Stour winding its way through the estate. Upon your arrival, you’ll be greeted by impressive turrets, offering just a glimpse of the grandeur that awaits. Step inside, and you will be captivated by the luxurious décor and floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase breathtaking outdoor views. Nestled among the beautifully maintained gardens, you’ll discover an old Norman church, which has been allowed to fall into ruin, with parts demolished to enhance its romantic and picturesque qualities. In the well-kept grounds, you will also find an elaborately decorated orangery, along with several sculpted monuments from the 17th century.
Ettington Park Wedding Photographer
Ettington Park is an ideal venue for weddings, offering a variety of beautiful photographic options and a wonderfully romantic atmosphere. The grand hall is especially stunning, making it perfect for family photos and a few intimate couple shots, particularly on cold or wet days. Fortunately, despite the chill in the air, we were lucky to have a dry day with minimal wind. Ben and Beth were eager to capture lovely images by the chapel and throughout the grounds. Beth also requested some artistic night images, similar to those she had seen on my website. We started with a brief couple’s session, followed by the family photos that Ben & Beth had asked for. With some time to spare, I was able to capture candid moments as well. I always appreciate the opportunity to include a mix of photographic styles. Transitioning from traditional portraiture to documentary-style shots helps to tell a more comprehensive story of your special day!

The Ceremony
The wedding ceremony took place in the Library Room, which can accommodate up to 50 guests, which is sufficient for most small weddings. There wasn’t much space for me to move around, so I positioned myself at the front while my assistant remained at the back to enable us to capture all angles.

Time for a Celebration!
Luckily the weather was playing ball so we all went outside to enjoy drinks and canapés while celebrating with family and friends. There were the usual hugs and kisses, followed by confetti flying everywhere.

Formal Family Photos
With a small gathering of about 50 guests, we efficiently completed the formal family photos using the Orangerie Building as a backdrop. I always prepare a list of names to ensure everything runs smoothly, and I strive to make the experience enjoyable for everyone involved.

Bridal Portraits in the Gardens
Taking a quick 20-minute break to capture bridal portraits at Ettington Park is truly delightful. The grounds are incredibly beautiful and offer a variety of stunning locations. With its lush gardens, Cotswold stone backgrounds, and charming chapel area, there are endless opportunities to create a diverse range of breathtaking photos of you and your partner. The bride and groom were eager to take advantage of the Old Church Ruins for their bridal portraits. Although it was a bit chilly, the weather cooperated, and we were able to capture some great photos.

Wedding Breakfast
A lavish 3-course meal was enjoyed by all followed by speeches & toasts.

Photography Coverage
Being November we only had decent daylight for a few hours so we had to keep to the timetable and get all the formal photos done before we lost the light. Luckily I have great low-light skills and love to use this time to get creative.

Photo Booth
To inject some fun in the the evening events Ben & Beth hires my very own Photo Booth. This was as always a great hit and everyone went home with a fun printed memento.
Many thanks to Ben and Beth for your hospitality and for letting me be part of your celebrations.
