When Do We Start to Prepare and plan Our Wedding Photos

Capture Every Moment

As a professional wedding photographer, I understand the importance of capturing every special moment on the big day.

Venue Visit

That’s why I always like to schedule a scouting trip with the bride and groom a few weeks ahead of the wedding day. During this visit, we’ll explore the venue together and take note of the best locations for photos.

Pre-Wedding Shoot or Practice Photos

We’ll also have a chance to take some pre-wedding photos, which can help the couple feel more comfortable in front of the camera and build a rapport with me as their photographer.

Your Vision

In addition to the photo shoot, we’ll spend some time discussing the couple’s vision for their wedding photos. This might include specific poses or shots that they would like to capture, or general ideas about the overall look and feel of the photos. We’ll also go over a shot list, which is a detailed list of all the photos that the couple would like to have taken on the day of the wedding.

Notes and Timings

Timing is also an important consideration, as we want to ensure that we have enough time to capture all of the key moments without feeling rushed. This might involve making adjustments to the schedule or planning out specific timelines for different parts of the day.

Take The Time to Prepare

By taking the time to prepare in advance, we can ensure that the wedding day goes smoothly and that the couple ends up with beautiful, timeless photos that they’ll treasure for years to come.
