Cat & Matt Wedding Photography at Macdonald Alveston Manor Stratford upon Avon

So Cat & Matt were due to get married 2 years ago but had to put off their wedding a couple of times due to Covid 19. During this time they were gifted with a beautiful baby girl.

As always I arrived an hour early to scout out the wedding venue looking for possible photo opportunities and go over my notes and timings. Then after a quick coffee, it was time to go and see the bride-to-be. It was total chaos with lots of excited people in a small room busily getting ready and having their hair & makeup done. So after about 10 to 15 minutes of total madness of taking bridal prep photos, it was time to escape. So off I went to find the groom and introduce myself to some of the guests as they arrived. Matt was a little anxious so I took some time to chat with him before taking some formal pre-wedding photos with his family and groomsmen. Then back to take some photos of the eager bride-to-be who looked stunning in her wedding dress.

Being mixed faith they opted for a civil wedding and were married in the Cedar Room followed by drinks and canape’s on the rear terrace. It was a beautiful spring day in April giving me lots of freedom to capture some fantastic formal wedding photos outdoors.

The rest of the day went off without a hitch and a good time was had by all.

At every wedding, I try and do something a little creative and this time managed to get a cracking night shot under the Cedar Tree using off-camera flash & colored gels.

Cat & Matt are a great couple and I wish them a long and happy marriage. Thank you for your kind hospitality and for choosing me to capture your big day.
