Followed by their Wedding reception at Alveston Pastures Farm
Congratulations to Pete and Sophie on their wedding! They tied the knot in St Andrews Church in Shottery, Stratford upon Avon.
Their wedding reception took place at Alveston Pastures Farm.
The day started at Sophie’s parent’s house, where the bridesmaids enjoyed bacon rolls and a glass of bubbly to kick off the celebrations.
Excitement filled the air as everyone got ready for the big day. I managed to capture some fun shots during the bridal preparations.
St Andrews Church was only a short walk, but it was raining. It was fortunate that Sophie had hired a wedding car for her and her dad, given the rain.
It seems like July was a rainy month for weddings, as I recall it raining at almost every wedding I photographed during that month. Despite the rain, everyone carried on and refused to let it spoil this special day.
Pete was quite nervous at the church, but the groomsmen did a great job of supporting him. Sophie didn’t keep him waiting for long, and the ceremony was soon in full swing.
The church was filled with the couple’s close family and friends, who were there to witness their special day. The wedding ceremony was conducted with warmth and a touch of humor, making it all the more special.
As the rain showed no signs of stopping, it was decided to take the formal family photos inside. After the family photos were taken, everyone headed to the wedding reception at Alveston Pastures farm to continue the celebrations.
Woo Hoo the rain finally stopped for a brief moment, so we took the opportunity to capture some beautiful bridal portraits.
Pete and Sophie made a grand and unique entrance to their event, resembling a WWE-style entrance, and were welcomed by all of their guests.
I spoke to the chef, and he said the food would be served in about 20 minutes. While waiting for the food to be served, I took the opportunity to capture more bridal photos. After that, I snapped some fun shots of the bridal party.
Unfortunately, the rain started again, so everyone went back to the wedding breakfast. The food was superb and thank you for your hospitality.
The wedding speeches were quite something, with lots of mickey-taking from Pete’s three best men. It was certainly a memorable part of the celebrations!
The rain persisted throughout the entire wedding breakfast but finally stopped when the coffee was served. As it was a warm and stuffy day, almost everyone made their way outside for some fresh air. This gave me a great opportunity to capture some lovely guest photos.
After the traditional cutting of the cake and the first dance, it was time to have some fun with the photo booth. It was a couple of hours filled with laughter and lots of silly poses! Thank you to my eldest son James for doing a great job as always assisting me.
All in all, it was a fantastic wedding with lots of fun and laughter. It was a pleasure to be part of such a special day.
Thank you, Pete and Sophie, once again for choosing me to be your wedding photographer.
