TERMS AND CONDITIONS
For Wedding Photography Services
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ENTIRE AGREEMENT:
This agreement contains the entire understanding between Jeff Land and the Bride and Groom.
COPYRIGHT LAW:
English Copyright Law states that the copyright of photographs remains with the photographer. The digital images taken by Jeff Land Photography are for personal use by the bride and groom and their friends and relatives. If selling the wedding photos for profit the bride and groom, their friends, and relatives must obtain permission from Jeff Land Photography.
MODEL RELEASE:
The Bride and Groom grant Jeff Land and its legal representatives, and heirs, and assign, the irrevocable and unlimited consent to use the photographs of the bride and groom for editorial, competition, advertising, and any other purpose and in any manner, to alter the photographs without restriction, and to copyright the images. The Bride and groom hereby release Jeff Land Photography and its legal representatives, heirs, and assigns from all liability and claims concerning the images.
PRE-WEDDING CONSULTATION:
This normally happens at the time of booking. The bride and groom will outline broadly what is required and Jeff Land Photography will advise on planning, logistics, and timings needed. If required. The bride and groom are welcome to pop in for an additional chat closer to the time of the wedding to iron out the remaining details. In any case, we will contact you by phone a few days before the wedding to ensure that there have been no last-minute changes.
BOOKING FEE & FINAL PAYMENT:
The £200 booking fee is to secure the Photographer for a particular time and date and is therefore non-refundable. Full payment of the remaining balance is required no later than 30 days before the wedding date.
LICENSE, COVERAGE, AND REPRODUCTION:
Photographs taken during the event will be at the discretion of the photographer although every effort will be made to comply with the client’s requirements.
The photographer shall be granted artistic license concerning the poses photographed and the locations used. The photographer’s judgment regarding these matters shall be deemed correct.
The photographer shall endeavour to photograph all individuals as requested by the client(s) at some point, but no responsibility will be taken by the photographer on the occasion of leaving somebody out.
For a booking involving a church ceremony or at certain venues, the photographer’s movements are sometimes restricted by the official in charge. The area from which the photographer can cover the ceremony may not be the photographer’s choice and the photographer cannot accept responsibility for any obstructed view should this be the case.
Due to a variety of lighting conditions and the limitations of digital sensors, some colours may alter throughout a set of photographs.
Although all equipment is checked regularly and reasonable steps are taken to ensure backup equipment is available, the photographer will not be responsible for photographs that are not produced due to technical failure.
THE SCHEDULE:
Our shooting schedule, style of working, and experience are designed to achieve a mouthwatering set of wedding photos for the bride and groom, accomplished with good humour and enjoyed by all concerned. Both the bride and groom and Jeff Land Photography, therefore, agree that punctuality and cheerful cooperation are essential to producing outstanding photographic results. In cases where the wedding does not run on time (for example, extreme lateness by the bride arriving at the church) we cannot guarantee to take our normal set of photos although in such circumstances we will do our absolute best to compensate.
COOPERATION:
The bride and groom and Jeff Land Photography consent to cheerfully cooperate and communicate with each other to achieve the best possible result within the understanding of this contract. We recommend that the wedding photographer is provided with a helper (usually the best man) who will point out key individuals to be photographed. The photographer may also require the assistance of the best man in organizing family groups. The bride and groom also agree to give the Photographer sufficient warning of key events at the wedding to give the photographer time to prepare e.g. Bouquet throwing, cutting the cake, speeches, etc. Please note that not all guests at the wedding like having their photos taken. In such cases, the wedding photographer will use his discretion but cannot be held responsible for a lack of photos of these people.
PAPARAZZI WEDDING GUESTS:
All your guests will have digital cameras and all your guests will want to photograph the bride and groom. In the spirit of cheerful cooperation, the bride and groom agree to give the photographer precedence over your guests to take the photographs required for the wedding services described above.
We cannot be held liable for a lack of wedding photos if the photographer’s work has been continually interrupted by guests taking their photos of the bride and groom.
Terms and Conditions
HOUSE RULES:
Note the photographer is sometimes limited by rules imposed by registrars, ministers, and venue management as to what can and cannot be done. For example, some ministers insist that no flash photography is allowed, and others will insist that the photographer shoot from a specific location. In such circumstances, the bride and groom agree to accept the technical limitations that may be imposed on the equipment used. We advise the bride and groom to make themselves aware of the rules of the venue concerned and if necessary, negotiate with the personnel concerned.
LOOK AFTER YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER:
To keep focused & energized I kindly ask the bride and groom to provide a meal for the photographer & assistant where the length of attendance exceeds six hours.
DELIVERY OF IMAGES:
Approximately 2/4 weeks after your wedding we will be in contact to arrange a viewing. This is also a great opportunity to discuss the online gallery and view our range of wedding albums, prints, etc. An online gallery will be created for you to view and download hi-res print-ready images. All images will be delivered in JPG format. RAW unedited files will not be supplied.
EDITING:
The Photographer includes standard editing in the cost, such as making basic adjustments (i.e. lighting, contrast, Colour correction). It does not include more involved Photoshopping, such as adding or removing anything from the image or doing extensive touch-ups. These can be done for an extra retouching fee, to be decided depending on the extent of extra work involved.
“I DO NOT STYLISE MY IMAGES WITH PRESETS”
PERSONAL ACCIDENT:
Any directions issued to clients, their guests, or employees during a photographic shoot are deemed to be at said person’s own risk. The photographer cannot be held responsible for any personal accidents during a photographic shoot.
WEATHER:
Weather permitting, the photographs will be taken as agreed. In the event of inclement weather, the photographer, in cooperation with the client, will make the necessary changes to the schedule and will do his best to produce coverage of the wedding within the time allocated to him.
FORCE MAJEURE:
Whilst every care is taken, this contract is subject to alteration or cancellation by the photographer owing to any cause/s beyond his reasonable control, i.e. Act of God, Fire, War, Road closure, Illness, etc. Furthermore whilst every effort is made to preserve the images captured, the photographer can not be held accountable for failure/theft of vital equipment eg Memory card malfunctioning.
ATTENDANCE:
In the unlikely event that the photographer is unable to complete the coverage due to unforeseen circumstances, the photographer reserves the right to appoint another photographer to attend on his behalf to undertake the photography.

To prevent copyright theft once images either digital or print leave the studio the client agrees they are satisfied with the work provided. In cases of dispute, Jeff Land Photography may on consideration offer clients a full or partial refund of any monies paid.
